The RFID bundles used in your crane can have slight variances that can affect how the crane reads the values recorded on the bundle. The type of RFID system used is UHF and the frequency band is particularly sensitive to environmental changes or conductive materials, like water and metal surfaces. We have carefully adjusted the antenna strength in such a manner to not read ticket bundles laying around on the playfield. In certain circumstances, the strength might need to be adjusted. The result is when multiple ticket bundles are won they are not always being seen by the crane. Below are instructions to access a file that will allow you to adjust the antenna strength setting for the crane. We advise caution when increasing the signal strength. If set too high, the crane will see bundles that are not won. We recommend adjusting only in 0.1 increments. When playing games, do not hold the bundles in your hand but trap them in between the fingers of the claw. This will simulate the win with better accuracy. How to adjust RFID signal strength on games with software version below 2.03 1: connect keyboard to the pi (This is located at the back of the game, against the back wall). 2: power cycle game 3: wait for the pi to boot. 4: Press Q 4: press ALT + Print Sc + K to keep the software from auto booting. 5: type “sudo nano ~/tot/doc/tune.py” and press enter 6: adjust the line that says “antennaTune = 0” by .1 - .2 increments the range for this value is -3.25 to 5.75 7: to save changes, press Ctrl + X, Y, Enter 8: type “reboot” and press Enter, or power cycle game PLAY MANY GAMES WINNING 3 BUNDLES TRAPPED IN THE CLAW FINGERS. Make sure no phantom bundles won. If more bundles are paid than won adjust the strength back down by 0.1. How to adjust the signal strength on games with software version 2.03 and above 1) disconnect the USB connection between the PI and the main board and connect a keyboard 2) turn the PI on 3) the program will load and then crash and then reboot because there is no usb connection. 4) when the program starts to reload (screen shows the PI software version) press the Q key to stop the program from loading leaving you at pi@raspberrypi prompt. 5) Type “sudo nano /boot/table.py” and press enter 6) you will now be at the boot menu allowing you to set the payout table, using the arrow keys move all of the way to the bottom to the line labeled "antenna tune =0 " 7) adjust the line that says “antennaTune = 0” by .1 - .2 increments the range for this value is -3.25 to 5.75 8) to save changes, press Ctrl + X, Y, Enter 9) type “reboot” and press Enter 10) once the program loads turn the game off disconnect the keyboard and reconnect the USB to the main board.
