The playfield has a large gear located on the bottom side which interfaces with a gear on the playfield motor to rotate the assembly. The center shaft on the playfield passes through two bearings. The lower bearing which is accessible by opening the lower door in the back of the game has two set screws. If the set screws have loosened the shaft can slide upwards in the bearings causing the playfield to lift. Align the teeth on the gears and press straight down on the center of the playfield then tighten the set screws to resolve the problem.
