The Impact brand monitor is a monitor we used during production of the Centipede Chaos game. This monitor was encased in a large metal housing and typically will have a model number sticker on the back starting with "IMP-" see the document "impact monitor board identification "for a layout and description of the boards.
The first revisions of this monitor used a power switch where the power cord plugged in. if your monitor has a switch it can be replaced with a receptacle by ordering ICE part number UPDATECEMONITOR , once obtained the Impact power mod replacement instructions will guide you through opening the monitor and replacing the switch. If after replacing the switch you are still experiencing issues then you can check the fuse located at position F1 on the power supply board.
The power supply board sends 12vdc to the Analog to digital board on the connector below the voltage can be read between the red and black wires.
The analog to digital board located on the back panel of the monitor monitors the video inputs and when it see a valid signal it sends a 5vdc signal to the power supply to activate the power to the inverter board to turn the back lighting on. The signal can be read on the between the yellow and black wires (circled in yellow). The board will also send a 5v signal to the inverter board to turn on this can be read in between the blue and the green wires (circled in red)
The power supply then outputs 24vdc to the inverter boards to power the LED back lighting which can be read between the red and black wires.
The inverters then power the leds on the monitor by outputting ~75vdc to the leds which can be read on the red and black wires.
The inverter connections to the LEDs into the TV are shown below. If the sections of the monitor back lighting are out check for loose connections on the flat connectors.
If lines appear in the video then check the seating of the ribbon cables that connect from the T-CON board to the panel interface
