A possible fault condition can occur that results in damage to the goalie bumper assembly or slider. We recommend updating the software to version 1.09. This new version will activate upon sensor failure safe mode to prevent damage to the bumpers and slider assembly.
Sensor errors are shown in the scrolling display only on start up or main board power cycle. After the first credit is entered into the game, the error message will not show up again. In diagnostics mode, the first set of “00” will show a 01 for left motor error or 02 for right motor error. These will always appear even if the problem is addressed. The only way these error codes will clear is if the game is power cycled. Only when the error is truly cleared will the game display normal attract video.
If a sensor error occurs and the game has any credits placed on it, the game will continue to play, however, the goalie motion will now be in safe mode. Safe mode is motion driven by time rather than looking by sensor trigger to detect end of travel. This mode will allow the goalie to move in a safer manner than full speed.
