Zombie Snatcher uses a 24vdc motor located inside the lower cabinet of the game to rotate the playfield. The motor has a clear o ring on the drive wheel which engages a v-shaped track on the bottom side of the playfield to propel it, also mounted to the bottom side of the playfield are 6 guide wheels that ride on a track that act as bearings for the playfield to rotate on.
When the game is powered on the playfield motor should always be running, the motor is controlled by a motor controller mounted by the I/O board located in door 3. If your motor is not running then check for 24vdc between the pink and black wires at the CN1 connection and that the CN2 connection has pins 3 (orange wire), 8 (light blue wire),10(white wire) and 11 (black wire) tied together using a splice cap then replace either the motor or the controller.
If your motor head is rotating and the playfield is not moving check the following:
- The motor has a spring loaded tension bolt which allows the motor to move up and down to compensate for the varying weight of the playfield due to the pucks. If the bolt is loose it will not provide adequate tension on the o-ring causing the playfield to slip. The tension bolt should not be fully compressed as this will negate its function and could cause wear on the ring and v-shaped track.
-Inspect the O-ring that drives the wheel it should be circular and not have any flat or worn spots.
- Inspect the V-shaped track on the bottom side of the playfield it should complete if there are worn or broken spots replace the track
- Inspect the drive wheels on the bottom side of the playfield making sure that they rotate smoothly and are have no flat or worn spots.
