After the launch of Odin, we have noticed many end users do not take advantage of some of the features in the game's software. This has caused some games to not earn as well compared to other games that are taking advantage of these features that are. It was also noted that in the past when a game would experience poor earnings, technicians assumed it was an issue with the hardware of the game and calibrate it. This added to the game's low earnings.
This new software will automate these features with no user intervention. This means the game play will be better matched to the location’s player abilities, allowing a better experience for the player and improving the game's earnings.
Some new features were added to the process. A new play for fun mode was added for those locations that do not wish to give tickets. A new "quick" setup feature allows the game to set the values of the rings to the average tickets per play you desire. We also added extended compatibility for card readers allowing you to adjust ticket validation and confirm the card swipe output to the game.
The new software can be downloaded from here. Copy the update.bin file to the SDCARD of the main board. Turn the game on and it will detect the update.bin file and ask if you wish to update. Press the SW2 button to select “YES” and then SW1 button to start the update.
This update will also require the update of the Pi image used for the display. This can be downloaded from here. Once downloaded, you will need BalenaEtcher software to create the image. Once both files are downloaded, unzip the file. It will create a file called with an ”IMG” extension.
Use “BalenaEtcher” software to write the “IMG” file over the current PI SDCARD installed in the game (NOT THE MAIN BOARD!!).
After the game has been updated, it will default all settings. You will need to configure the game once the update is completed. It is also recommended to note your settings before updating. Some settings are no longer used and can be kindly ignored when resetting the options after the update.
